At Central, we offer an alternate middle school program for students in Grade 8, who are typically between the ages of 12 to 14 years old.

Students attending here are at risk of becoming completely disconnected from school, or find that the more traditional school setting does not meet their unique learning needs.

Central's Transitions Program focuses on the whole child and focuses on the First Peoples Principles of Learning.

Experiential and personalized learning is at the heart of what is occurring in our school.
Learning experiences are connected in a cross-curricular manner, which provides the opportunity for learners to build knowledge and core competencies in multiple areas by participating and engaging in meaningful learning tasks.

Students currently enrolled at their local school must be referred to us by the administration from that school.

Successful Transitions students at Central can move on to our Senior Program or can return to their local school.
