"Students Do Well If They Can"
Principal’s Message

Mr. Nathen Elliott:  Acting Principal

Welcome to Central Programs & Services.  We are proud to offer Alternate Programs and Services to Central Okanagan Public Schools. We have four sites throughout the district, which includes an educational department at Interior Health's Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Kelowna General Hospital.

Central Programs and Services is proud to support Central Okanagan Public Schools (SD23) and is a supportive learning environment focused on meeting the diverse academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs of each student it serves. Central offers a variety of unique educational programs and services aimed at meeting the needs of the whole child.  Our teaching and operational framework is characterized by identifying and capitalizing on the assets and strengths students inherently bring versus what they do not. We believe that creating opportunities for our students to showcase their gifts, talents and interests builds a sense of self-worth, confidence and resiliency from which to move forward. Central has worked hard to build a variety of programs that are able to meet the unique and diverse needs of its student population. All students connected to Central must commit to engaging with community support, which is targeted at tackling the variety of  barriers being faced by the student. Our ultimate goal is to support students in overcoming these barriers, and to build a plan, in consultation with parents, guardians and families, to transition students back to their home school, potential career paths, secondary education and opportunities.

Please do not hesitate to contact Central Programs & Services with any questions or concerns.  1-250-870-5120
